Three Oregon ASHRAE Chapter Scholarships this year were for students in the Architecture program at University of Oregon. is an undergraduate student pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Architecture with a minor in Spanish. She is particularly interested in combining sustainability and design through the integration of ecological and mechanical systems.

Lindsay Smith is a graduate student pursuing her Master's Degree in Architecture. Lindsay has a Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC) designation and has her sights set on the LEED exam coming up in the spring of 2024. Past projects show her dedication to working with mechanical HVAC&R systems to optimize human comfort.

Maria Camila Coronado Cabrera is a graduate student pursuing her Ph.D. in Architecture, looking into thermal comfort and indoor air quality in schools. Her research investigates how the relationships between facility maintenance & operations, occupants, and the physical environment of the classroom create adequate IAQ and thermal conditions. With fieldwork spanning multiple countries, states, and environments, her research will bring insight into the technical and human aspects that create comfortable and healthy environments for students and teachers.
